Klootchy Trail Work, Sunday 2/21

Hey NCTA riders!

This coming Sunday looks to be a good day to get out to the Klootchy Creek Trails and build the stoke and our trails together!

Meet at the Klootchy Creek County Park Sunday morning (Feb 21) at 8:45 am for safety meeting and check in. We will head through the gate onto GreenWood property by 9 am.

We plan to wrap up and get back to the parking lot around 1pm… possibly enjoying a beverage in the parking lot together afterwards

Don’t forget to bring your own water and food as necessary

Dress for the weather and the work being done

We will be clearing corridor again, but there will be some trail work to do as well. Chainsaws, pole saws, brushers, etc. are all welcome. If you have one, bring it along. Personal protective equipment is necessary (eye protection, ear protection, gloves, chaps if using a chainsaw). We have some of this but please bring it if you have it. If you don’t have any of these things, there will be plenty of other trail work and clearing debris to work on.
We look forward to seeing you there.

New Trail Construction at Klootchy
Creek in Clatsop County, Oregon

Having grown up on the Oregon Coast, we know first hand that the Astoria, Seaside and Cannon Beach area of Clatsop County has the terrain and the prerequisites of an MTB Trail Destination. Stub Fest 2016

This is a repost from our main chapter Northwest Trail Alliance:

Thank you for attending Stub Fest 2016
As an army of volunteers we accomplished a lot of substantial trail improvements again this year. With each trail project (big or small) we are making Stub an awesome place to ride.
100+ people attended
10 work crews worked on multiple trail projects
1,145 volunteer hours were logged during Stub Fest
45 people attended the Trail Building Class
$960 was raised for the trail design of the South Stub Expansion
40+ kids were at Stub Fest (not included in above total)
28% of the attendees had not ridden at Stub Stewart before
Thank you for helping create, enhance, and protect mountain bike riding opportunities; to advocate for trail access; to promote responsible mountain biking; and to build, maintain, and ride sustainable trails.
Together we can do amazing things.

Come join us

at noon Saturday July 2nd!
The park is located off S. Franklin and Ave S in Seaside, Oregon.
